As some seats might have made it to New Zealand shores with the effected bolt attached.

What are the defects?

Batches 022 and 023 of the anchor bracket are faulty. The anchor bracket connects the car restraint tether strap to the car anchorage bolt.

What are the hazards?

If the tether anchor bracket fails in the event of a collision, the performance of the car restraint may be impacted, increasing the risk of injury to the child.

What should consumers do?

Customers need to check if their product is affected by identifying the batch number markings on the anchor bracket. If batch number 022 or 023 is stamped, then the item is subject to the recall and customers should immediately discontinue use. IGC Dorel will provide customers with a free vehicle anchor kit.
